Primary Care

X-Ray in Primary Care in Tallaght was introduced in March 2020. This means that once a patient is referred for an X-Ray the patient can make an appointment in the new Primary Care Centre in Tallaght.

Out-Patients can only access this diagnostic service through a referral from their General Practitioner (GP) for General X-Ray or Ultrasound. All other services require Consultant referral.

Your GP must send in the referral via Healthlink (this is a secure online referral service) which includes your contact details. Once the Hospital receives the electronic referral, you will be sent a text message to your mobile confirming receipt of the request. Your test request is then triaged and you will be sent a link. By accessing this link you can book an appointment time / date that suits you.
