Tallaght University Hospital Catering Department

Welcome to the Catering Department. We aim to provide the best possible service to our patients, staff and visitors.

Our Objectives

To offer excellence in both food and service to our customers.

 Patient Meal Services

Meals for patients and staff are produced and prepared in our modern equipped main kitchen. A choice menu is offered to our patients which is designed to meet their nutritional needs and service requirements. We endeavour to meet all the individual food requirements of our Patients. These may be therapeutic and special diets for patients or dishes required by nationality and religion of our multi-ethnic customer base.

Our catering service is a Food Safety Assurance service. We strive to serve our patients with high quality and nutritious food. The Catering Department support a wide range of patients each with unique dietary requirements. Whatever the patients requirements are, our team will do their best to accommodate them.

Some patients as part of their treatment experience loss of appetite. Our catering team goal is to ensure that patients meet their nutritional needs. The importance of food and nutrition in a hospital plays a vital role for patients on their road to recovery.

Patient meals are served between 7.30am and 8pm every day

Phoenix Dining Room 

Our ‘Phoenix’ Dining Room is situated on the ground floor. We strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience for all our patients, visitors & employees. Whether it is for a sit down meal or getting a takeaway, You will find something to suit your taste. All the meals are produced fresh on the day and ingredients sourced from local suppliers where possible. Our diverse menu offers a wide range of options to suit your preferences. From hearty main courses to fresh salads and tasty desserts, there's something for everyone. We also offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options to accommodate different dietary needs.

The opening hours are: Monday to Friday 7.20am to 2.15pm. (Closed Weekends & Bank Holidays)

Recovery Doc Coffee Shop

The ‘Recovery Doc’ coffee shop is situated in the Dining Room. It is the perfect place for a quick break or light bite. We offer a wide selection of freshly baked pastries, scones & treats alongside a vibrant deli counter with made-to-order sandwiches & wraps all prepared with quality ingredients and care.
