TUH is an exciting and dynamic place to work. The team at the Hospital are in the midst of implementing a new hospital strategy that has already delivered on the opening of a new renal unit, day surgery centre, step down facility in the community and the start of building works on a new ICU extension. Our Administration Teams

The patient experience is important to us, a critical part of this is the patient’s interactions with all our teams that support our clinical staff in the delivery of quality medical care to our patients. These teams play a valuable role in scheduling patient appointments supporting our patients at clinics and updating and managing our technology systems to enhance the service we provide to patients.

Tallaght University Hospital requires an enormous variety of administrative and clerical staff across different roles and locations. For example you may enjoy dealing with patients and their relatives in a clinic or as a ward clerk on a ward. Alternatively you may wish to work as part of Corporate Specialist teams. We can provide clear opportunities for experienced and qualified administrative staff to progress into administrative management roles.

A career in the Estates & Facilities Department can be highly rewarding. The Technical Services Department is responsible for the General Maintenance of the Hospital building infrastructure and associated plant and equipment. The Support Services Department is responsible for portering services and catering services in canteen and at ward level throughout the Hospital. These staff provide a vital and valuable role and make a huge contribution to the smooth running of the organisation on a day to day basis.

Map & directions to Tallaght HospitalAll our vacancies are advertised on our careers/vacancies page. You can apply for a vacancy using the online recruitment system via the Hospital website.  If you are successful in your application and called for interview please note the location of the HR Department in the map. HR are located in Exchange Hall which is just outside the main entrance of the Hospital. 

Shortlisting: Following closing date the Line Manager will review all applications and draw up shortlist of applicants for interview. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of shortlisting by HR Recruiter via email.

Successful candidates: If you are shortlisted for interview you will be sent invite via email. The invitation will include all details of the interview.

Prepare for your interview: Make sure you are as prepared as possible and clear why you are the right person for the job. Please ensure you fully read the job description prior to the interview.

Interview: You will be interviewed by panel of two or more interviewers.

Notification of success: You will be notified of outcome of interview by email. For the successfully recommended applicant it is important to note that this stage is not an offer of employment.

Pre-employment checks: The candidate that is successfully recommended for the post will progress to the next stage of the recruitment process which includes pre-employment medical, garda clearance and references checks. Following successful completion of all pre-employment checks an offer of employment will be sent to the successful candidate. It is important not to hand in resignation until you have received offer letter intention to accept.

Start date: There are two start dates for staff each month.

Induction: All new employees attend corporate Induction which consists of two phases. General induction which is provided by the Centre for Learning & Development and takes place on your start date and provides general information about the Hospital, the Departmental induction takes place with your manager.
